St. Louis Ballooning Adventures

Your flight begins with the purchase of a flight certificate. Once purchased you may schedule your flight at any time throughout the year. Please schedule early to ensure the best availability. Your flight is a private flight, which means only you or your group will be the only ones in the balloon except for the pilot of course. Once you have decided on a date to fly and the weather cooperates, you will meet the pilot, the balloon crew, and the balloon at our meeting location.

 

We meet all passengers in O'Fallon MO at Dirty Dogz Hot Dogs restaurant, 3720 Monticello Plaza Dr. on Hwy K in the strip mall. Meeting times depend on the time of year. Here at St. Louis Ballooning Adventures, we provide early morning or late afternoon flights. Mornings are more conducive for ballooning and less likely to be canceled due to weather. We meet 30 minutes before official sunrise so depending on the time of year depends on when you will meet your pilot and balloon. 

 

Once you have arrived at our meeting location you will meet the pilot and sign a release of liability waiver. Once signed, you will leave your car there and ride out to the launch site with the pilot and crew in the balloon vehicle.

 

We have over 25 different launch sites depending on the wind direction and speed. The launch site could be 2 minutes or 25 minutes away. Your flight itself will be approximately 1 hour. Please allow 3-3.5 hours total time. Total time includes meeting the balloon, driving to the launch site, inflating and launching the balloon, an approximately 1-hour flight, packing up the balloon after the flight, and driving back to our meeting place. 

 

After your flight we will celebrate with you, the crew and our friendly landowner with a non-alcoholic juice and commemorative flight certificate then drive you back to your vehicle.

 

In the event of a cancelation due to weather please reschedule your flight as soon as possible. Your pilot will call you personally the night before and give you a status update about your flight and will decide if it's a GO or NO GO.

 

On some very rare occasions, the flight may be canceled at the meeting place or even at the launch site if changing weather conditions occur. There are no refunds for canceled flights. You must reschedule your flight for a later date.
